This fascinating collection sees the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, discussing some of the major moral issues that confront the world in the 21st century with leading international experts in their fields. Based on a series of public dialogues held at St Paul’s Cathedral in September 2004, The Worlds We Live In explores the questions, How should the world be governed? Is there an alternative to global capitalism? Environment and humanity – friends or foes? and Is humanity killing itself? The role of Christianity in responding to these urgent and complex contemporary challenges is critically examined. The debates are framed with an Introduction by the editors and an Afterword from Rowan Williams.
